Monthly Archives: February 2012 This is my friend Dick with has freshly built pride and joy, an expedition touring bike to fulfil his various and imminent touring plans. I joined Dick for a bit of a ride today in dreich and dreary weather. It was a great ride by Loch Sween, looking for otters, with no success but…  Fourth cycle in a row of Sundays, nothing dramatic, but 23 honest miles among fairly quiet single track roads with some beautiful edge-of-the-Atlantic Mid-Argyll scenery. During my 5 minutes at the end of my ride in Tayvallich, this kind gentleman was towing his boat out of the loch with a handsome and clearly well loved tractor….  It is nice to start a year living in the same house as my girlfriend. Instead of having to guard our weekend time selfishly, we can indulge things like cycling for health and fitness again. I had my third Sunday cycle in a row today, admittedly a mere 19.5 miles, but actual exercise. I generally… |
