It’s really instructive for me to look back at the pictures from my session with Seg. It was a day with really direct sunlight, and I simply hadn’t learned how to cope with the effect of direct sunlight on skin. Most of the pictures I took in the sunlight were totally blown out on the skin. Most suffered from the .dng file corruption I blogged about, so I have had to work from the .jpg’s that I had saved onto a disc for Seg. Seg’s face had real overexposure here, but overall, it would have been my second choice for “100 portraits”.
