Jess

_mg_7001This was my 2nd favourite shot from Jess’s session during my 100 portraits project. It was done in the cloisters at Glasgow University and provided my firstreal taste of deeply interesting light. I seek out side sources of light now if I can find them, but I was still learning then. This was at ISO 640 to get a handholdable speedof 1/30th of a second.By this point my addiction to the 28mm prime lens was becoming complete. Anyone who says a good portrait lens should be aboout 100mm is crazy! Where’s the close interaction that makes a great portrait when you are too far away?
