Uncle John

I went on my motorbike today to visit my uncle John. John was always my favourite uncle and I love him immensely. It was great to see him today, we had a great afternoon talking bikes and cameras. He was tickled by my little Sony Nex5 and the old Olympus 28mm lens with adapter I used on manual focus. That thrilled me almost as much as his old Contaflex cameras did.  He’s looking great for a man of 86. I’ll look forward to seeing him again soon.

PS. For any detail anoraks, the cute model bike framed in the background is a crude model of a Norton 850 Commando, one of many bikes John has owned or ridden. The main focus of our conversation was his Sunbeam 500 twin. Sunbeam, really! This man has seen better days for British motorcycles.
